The US shipyard with subsidiaries in France is launching its latest interpretation of the habitable pleasure craft

Large enough for an inboard motor, sleeping berths and a toilet, small enough for trailerability and easy handling with a small crew: the 8.90 metre long boat is a healthy size that makes a lot possible. The tiller-steered J 88 with attached rudder is characterised by an open, T-shaped cockpit and a retractable carbon bowsprit. The deck layout is quite simple: Taljen mainsheet, four winches and a few fittings suffice. There are two single berths below deck, and an optional V-shaped additional berth can be installed in the foredeck. The stern area is open to the saloon.

YACHT has already tested the boat. The J 88 was particularly impressive in light winds with excellent speeds that made even larger modern and sporty yachts look old, as well as a balanced steering feel. The test report will be published in one of the following issues.
